That won't work.  If he's looking for a Mrs. Pingu, he's most likely to find map holders.

Why did the BBC 10 pm news devote the first 15 minutes to the new pope, do a couple of other items, and then return to Rome?  Just about 60% of the "news" devoted to something only mildly interesting.

I know I've just got back from one, but I need a holiday.

After unpacking and repacking my bag (twice), searching round the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom and even the bathroom, I finally found my hat.

Just had an email reply from a old boss.

He had emailed me 6 weeks ago to ask if I was interested in coming back.

I said yes.

It all went quiet.

The reply I got today was "It didn't happen" :(

Phoned the GP this morning and was offered a choice of 2 appointments today.  Not too shabby.     A quick stethoscoping and "it's probably viral but have some antibiotics if you want them"  ::-)  I now have a weeks worth of Clarithromycin.

According to the US Naval Observatory local sunrise was 0610 and local sunset will be 1810. The Vernal Equinox. Why the bloody hell do we have to put up with poxy freezing fog on the first day of Spring? >:(

I think I have something in my eye. It hurts. Washing in an eyebath doesn't help. there is a black speck in my iris.

Thinking of going to york small injuries unit. Inconveniently located at the hospital now.

[edit] wanting to sing the praises of the nurse practitioner now.  Listened, spotted the offending object, whipped it out. Tested for more bodies with a stain, I have to go back to eye clinic to have rust scraped out in a few days.  Deity bless the NHS

Damned tinnitus.

Yesterday I was sat at home and I said to Mrs T "those jets are spending a long time flying over our house"
"What jets?" sez she
"I can hear them" sez I
"Nope, there is nothing"
"Oh"

It eventually went, and I thought that was that.

It's come back again today :(  Back to the docs, I guess.

It's a day for disturbed senses.  I had an unexpected exacerbation of my visual disturbance this morning.  The world had a glittery frilled edge about three quarters of the way to my periphery.  I did consider getting off the bike, but it seemed not to get in the way of seeing clearly as well.
Getting there...

Grey dark misty murk. Spitting with rain. Wind's NE (again!). Nice to see Spring is making an effort ::-)

Yesterday: Gas man. When you phoned last week and made an appt to come round at 0900 I didn't expect you to roll up at 1140 saying "ooh, I'm a bit late". That's why I was sarcastic at you.

Office Slob.

As a result of having to put up with you spending yesterday morning coating the office with the lining of your lungs, I and at least one of my colleagues have developed a tickly cough.

Somehow spanged my ankle. Or shin. Or both.

Bugger.

RICE, which means no cycling.

Bugger again.

It had better be fixed by next week, as I'm off to Much Wenlock, to go walking (I hope).

Self. When playing with sharp stabby things in the kitchen please to ensure any Norman Bates type motions are carried out in an away from the body sort of direction. That way you won't have to mop up the claret spilled all over the worktop

Just sit together, eh?   You pair of ignorant old goats.   >:(

I'm feeling really sorry for Kim.  I know she's put a lot of hard work into this.
I'm old enough to remember the '63 winter.  It was horrendous and extremely cold.  But only in the WINTER.  The weather was fine by the end of March.  What the hell is going on this year?  >:(
