Yes. Share the directory with Samba. Then in the VM open My Network Places -> Entire Network and there's an icon labelled "VirtualBox Shared Folders". I mapped this as a network drive and then set My Documents to point to it. Job done :thumbsup:.

I just have my linux home directory shared in samba, and browse to that in explorer in the guest VM.

It's Windows network file sharing for Linux (and Unix). It allows you access shared files on Linux from Windows, or vice versa, or any combination thereof.
