I have to go to Mersea on Wed, so no can do. Unless you fancy a pub in West Mersea - perhaps The White Hart!  :P
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Not sure where the Coach & Horses is, Tomsk, but a visit to the Wagon & Horses is due  :P
I'm sure we'll ride via NH, probably with an ETA of 20:45 to 21:00.

;D Something with a lot of legs and wheels...and beer.

I just plotted a route to the Rochford beer festival for Saturday and bikeroutetoaster automatically takes me via NH, not sure it knows how to plot a route going any other way  ::-)

Aha!  for once I added more miles than you - probably because we came back past your house this time instead of mine :)

I also clocked across my target of 52 NH ascents this year.  I don't need to ride my bike again until the new year now.

North Hill ascents 2011

bike    ascents
dahon   34
globe   7
globetg 1
z70     10
Total   52

Firstly, well done Oaky on hitting your North Hill target a month or so early.

Secondly, I have just returned from Cut 'n' Shave, Witham's Turkish barbers.  I had the full experience hair cut, shave, hair wash, nose and ear hair, eye brows and head massage.  Two "standout" experiences: having a Turkish bloke shove hie fingers in me ears and up me nose (thought I was going to giggle) and the bit where he sticks a giant cotton bud in a bottle of meths, lights it and then singes the ear from your ears and nose.  I look, smell and feel divine ...

Oh, and I've been to the dentist as well.

On my recent visit I had hands down the shirt shoulder massage, it was very firm and I didn't like to complain for fear of appearing unmanly.

The Turkish barbers cannot be faulted for attention to detail and vfm.

You work hard and deserve to be pampered and to have a man's fingers in two of your holes.

You must've typed that as I was thinking it, spooky. I think I would be pushing it, but if you were say at the Rose and Crown I couldn't not pop over.

I'm looking forward to a full day out on Saturday.

I'm a possible as I've not been out since last Sunday.  The week needs to do some panning out before I'll know for sure.

Might have got the decorations on by then. I could do with a test ride to see if anything drops off or gets caught in the spokes :D And to practice looking nonchalent, while lit up like a fairground ride.

And shall we go to the Rose and Crown?.....

It's very popular with well turned out cyclists in this area,  any hairy hole can be treated.

I could be up for a jaunt to the R&C (or the Compasses, for that matter).

My bike won't be decorated though (I'm decorating the Globe, and will probably be riding the Dahon on Weds).

It's possible I might be available for a jaunt this Weds - with or without company.

Where are these pubs of which you speak?

I think Auntie H and I had lunch there once. I'm ashamed to say that I can remember very little about it, and I'm sad to say that my amnesia in this instance is brought on by a surfeit of anno domini rather than ethyl alcohol.

I'd imagined that you had. I'd be surprised and disappointed if there were any hostelries in the area in which you hadn't done something outrageous.

I'll never forget the occasion that you set for to your underpants when lighting a fart at the Hurdlemakers.
