In the spirit of collaboration, how about someone lists the pubs and locations and I'll randomly add them to the calendar ? (I might take a view on winter roads accessibility IICBA )

Thought Tomsk had already made the decision for this week
The Viper is a good as anywhere for Chelmo - let's go with that and I'll inform Nick.

Before Oaky pipes up, there is this in existence, may need a little updating but at least a couple of years worth of options there

Of the missing ones, there's the Monkey, Terling

Probably a number of others, but it's not my specialist subject.

Sooooooo, back to tomorrow evening.  Bearing in mind the above quoted post, have we all accepted that we are heading for The Viper to meet Nick from Blackmore?

Or has jibers got everyone so confused that tomorrow evening the good people of Cressing will be wondering why their normally sleepy village is suddenly full of confused looking cyclists?  ???

Looks like a toss up between the Cross Keys (not MEMWNS visited) in White Notley and The Vine (MEMWNS visited) in Black Notley are the COG, neither of which are on the list.
Maybe we should go to one of those tomorrow  :demon:

I think the Viper is the one for tomorrow... I've been compiling a 'distance from MEMWNS COG as a flying animal might take' for the list of pubs and it makes interesting reading - no idea what I might do with it

Likewise - unless work conspires against me, I'll be there too - do we still aim for 9pm? (you can tell that I don't get out regularly on a Wednesday night!)

Yep, 9pm ETA, likely a pretty direct route for the Witham Peloton.

Following on from our forward planning document curated by OD and the discussions in the pub last night....  I've created a Google Calendar with his suggestions in and some of you might have received an invite already for it to be shared with you... if you are a regular attendeeeee and would like to be in on the list, please drop a message to either myself or OD to add you to the list it's shared with.

I don't think I have any email address details for SSN, Jan or Andrew... so if you would find the calendar useful, drop either Steve or myself an email...

Drop me a line with a suitable google email address for me to add you...  The calendar is already shared to you as  "me@*************.com" (I've obs removed the domain ;) )

Joergen

For information: one of the pubs we have been to before

The George Inn at Shalford has been closed for quite a while but was due to re open with new tenant last weekend. Their cellar got flooded so re opening was delayed.

Info from their neighbor, probably best to let him test the new landlord before we decide to go back.

Oh yes, I can see it :)  Thank you

I don't really use Google calendar for anything, but if I create a link to the Google calendar as a reoccurring appointment in the calendar that I do use, then all should be well.

For those interested and free on Thursday (7th September), Tomsk and I are heading to Clacton for the Tour of Britain TT stage. Getting the 0952 from Chelmsford which goes through Witham at 1003.
