This evening I checked the two hotspots on yesterday's track. At each location there were overflowing wheelie bins and rubbish on the ground  :demon:

Cats appear to be VERY intelligent opportunists!

Pumpkin is definitely an opportunist....
Things she has been seen with (not from Chez Pingu):
Mice
Birds
Feathers
Corn on the cob (full, or eaten)
Bread
Cake
Potatoes
Rack of ribs
Dried fruit (at least that's what it looked like when she vommed it up)

Will Strava locate the collar?

No, it's a dumb logger, it's got no internet connection (which is why we bought it, cos if it got lost it was cheaper, and there's no monthly subscription).

Oh. His stomping ground seems quite restricted.
You need Blodwyn Pig to spot it; shame he's not local!

Stands to reason that the collar is hanging from a sticky-out nail in some hidden-to-humans place[1].  But it might be worth going through some people's bins on the off-chance.

[1] When my parents knocked down a rotting shed, we found about three of our cat's collars behind it.

I did go for a walk round the areas Pingu identified as having a bin problem and looked on the ground near them but I drew the line at touching the bins.

Got her a replacement (only 8 quid off ebay so not a big deal to lose). Had a brief trip outside yesterday, not good enough satellite connection.
Let her out at 6am today, 0930 home with no collar.

Seriously, Pumpkin?

It was a 2nd hand item, but similar to the Canmore logger in the original post, which can be had new for about 30 quid.
