Cat comb
« on: 25 September, 2011, 02:10:50 pm »
Any recommendations for a cheap comb for long-haired cat purposes?

Ginger officially has an owner, but in reality, he has adopted me along with several other hoomans round here, and takes it in turns to get attention.

I've resisted feeding him so far, as I suspect he already gets at least four meals a day.  But he could do with an extra combing sometimes, to get out the rubbish he rolls around in.

He's super-friendly - except he bullies the one-eyed black cat that pops along too.

He's just a tart then.
Depends on the coat really, not all LH coats are the same. Take Pippin & Mojo - brother & sister, but a fine toothed comb will go through Mojo's coat no problem but gets stuck in Pippin's. She favours the Zoom Groom, a strange rubbery pointy looking thing, but it gets the undercoat out a treat.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

I bet Ginger is going to love the feel of it even when he doesn't need a comb.

Got my Zoom Groom via eBay.  But the ungrateful mog hasn't shown up today for me to test it on.

Saw Ginger today and he loved his zooming and grooming.  He wasn't keen on his belly being done, so I'll leave that to the "owner".

We don't like spiky seed pods.
