Quod Erat Demonstrandum - which was to be demonstrated
Isn't this a gerund(ive) ?
In which case the translation is more properly "That which had to be demonstrated".

I'm an engineer, I think my last use of a gerund was as a drip tray under my Land Rover

Iddu, I think, on an elliptigo coming through Brampton heading towards Huntington. I was heading the other way in the car.

Must have been my evil twin; that's a steed variant I don't own...
I'd offer you some moral support - but I have questionable morals.

Iddu and Idai are quite easy to tell apart IME - the choice of vehicle being perhaps the most obvious point of difference. ;)

On which subject, I saw an Elliptigo this morning, tearing along Marine Parade in Whitstable at great speed, while I was cooling off after parkrun. The rider could have been Idai - had the right kind of stature - but hard to tell from the distance.

never met either in person, it was definitely Idai though, recognised from his LEJog write up. Just typed the wrong name in haste

Don't know if it's anyone here, but I spotted a cyclist in  acf shorts just outside Henley (on Thames) about  an hour ago.

I spotted Butterfly on the US-Mexican border! Well, not in person: someone on Whatsapp posted a photo of a newspaper article with the headline "Butterflies could stop Trump's wall".

According to strava flyby it was Patrick Wadsworth aka GrandMaster Flash who was last active here in January 2017.

Wobbly John I think, heading up Ten-Mile Bank away from Littleport, while I was headed in the opposite direction early this morning

Yes, probably me if I was in white blue and black Orbea kit, on the black and red Orbea.

I met 3 cyclists on the way to Ten Mile Bank, where I crossed Modney bridge to Hilgay & Ryston before going through Denver and back along the riverbank.

As the lift doors closed on platform 4 in York station a cyclist appeared outside them... I looked at the current population density within the lift and sort-of-smiled apologetically at the cyclist in a Terribly British way clearly intended to signify "sorry, even if I get out I don't think you'd fit a bike in".10 minutes later I spotted the same Reading CC jersey on platform 9, and also clocked the saddle bag as I passed so stopped, took a step back, and enquired "Was it an arrow?".

Nice to make your acquaintance, Brymbo!
