FREE DIGITAL ORDNANCE SURVEY LANDRANGER MAP

... from Anquet

http://admin.anquet.com/Anquet-Free-Landranger.cshtml

Might be of use to someone here. Being a Level0 GPS user, I have no idea!

On that note; will this be any use to me with my eTrex20?

Don't think so as their software only works on iOS, android and Windows. There is no mention of Garmin. There are other sources of OS maps for Garmins.
I am often asked, what does YOAV stand for? It stands for Yoav On A Velo

Don't get too excited - it's only a pretty small section of the OS maps that you get for nothing . . . .  and from past experience the Anquet s/w isn't the best.

You could use it for plotting waypoints / routes / tracks, for transferring to a Garmin. So it may be of use for that. But no way of actually loading the maps onto the Etrex.

I've not tried the Anquet software myself, but most of this mapping software has its own quirks. It may take a while to get used to the interface etc.
There are a few other options for Windows software with OS maps. They may be cheaper, if you wanted to add more maps.

Memory Map has a load of offers on mapping at the moment - one this morning was the whole UK 1-50000 OS at half price  (You pay for maps the "engine" is free)   Again it's for plotting and creating tracks to load to a Garmin, although the licence does allow use on phones and tablets.
