Hopefully you will hear some helpful  motivational and inspirational tales of how we overcame adversity to successfully finish rides (e.g.in my case sometimes finishing a 600km ride with 5 minutes to spare).

All these rides from my doorstep (inclduing the use of the scout hut my son does cubs at!) and I can barely ride 50km. Anyone fancy encouraging a lapsed rider?

You could always get involved as a volunteer helper on the ride days, for example, helping out at the scout hut or route-checking parts of the routes. All offers of time welcome! That way, you may get motivated to get fit enough to ride the easier 200km or 300km rides the following year.
