It's P***ing down here.

So I've come in on my motorbike - I needed to test the waterproofness of my new boots!

Train for me.

1 hour of cycling followed by 2 hours of 5-a-side football last night.

No run for me this afternoon.

My son, I'll have you know, currently has a 17 mile e/w commute (destn. not far from you Otto as it happens: Crawley/Worth area).  It was a bit more than 'spitting' this morning  :o.  We tried to tactfully hint, perhaps wouldn't he like to take the train today?  He was not to be moved.  He got out the bike and off he went.  At least he has showers and a change of clothing when he arrives...

I saw three other riders. Now my Brompton is towel dried and my jacket is hanging up to dry.

It was a bit damp today.

But the good news is that on a short commute you can only get wet once ;)

Still raining in Brighton, and yes, I did cycle the 1/4 mile to work.

Looking forward to a nice drive up to Heathrow this evening. Not.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

I saw quite a few this morning, at least half a dozen cycled past me as I was repairing a visitation in the rain. :-\
Actually, it is rocket science.

To be fair, I obviously had all the bits and knew what I was doing.  If I was passing someone like that I probably wouldn't stop, and would be even less likely to do so in the rain.  Now, if it was a young attractive female cyclist... ;D

There were fewer than normal but still a fair few.

I also got cycled past by loads of people the last time I was attending to a visitation, but when someone is prepared to the extent that they have latex gloves on and is just getting on with it, I guess that makes you look as though you don't actually need help, which to be fair I didn't.

Didn't see many cyclists myself today, but then I did come in at lunchtime rahter than rush hour.

Did see an impressive woman on a road bike.  First thing I knew was a quiet cough behind me when we were stopped at some lights.  As ususal, I was away faster, but, as I paused to clip my left foot in, she shot past.  I tried to take her wheel (I needed a bit of a tow this morning :( ), but I couldn't keep up at all.  OK, so I came level as we approached E&C roundabout, but that was because I know the lane dynamics.  No, she was awesomely fast.
Getting there...

Good job I brought my sealskinz with me.

17:00 onwards = "Heavy Rain".

Oh.  I've only just dried out :(

I decided not to have a shower/get changed because I was so late in, but that meant sitting in wet Humvees.... :(  Might take them off to go home :o

I am wearing cycling shorts underneath ::-)
Getting there...

Didn't see any other cyclists this AM.

Can't say I blame those people who don't have showers at work or somewhere to get their kit dried out for skipping it.  It is and has been "persisting" it down since about 0500 hereabouts.

Not really looking forward to the last two or three miles for tonight.  Get some really fast run-off over parts of that stretch on days like this. No fun at all on gatorskins. Hoo no.
