There's been another fatality over the weekend.  :(

Cricklewood Broadway is LCN+ Route 5. (A5 or Watling Street by other names)

Shee!t!  I must have cycled up that very road when I came to see you and David, a few weeks ago.  We can only wait and see what the scenario was.

Yes, it suggests one obvious state of affairs - but until we know the facts...

If - and note it is only "if" - this is indeed yet another left-hook, something needs to be done.  Most such tragedies can surely be prevented!

I have looked at the images of the road on Google Maps.
The carriageway width seems very variable, with bus lanes, cross-hatched areas and variable building widths.
It could be quite easy to 'squeeze' a cyclist off the road here.  :(
