A helpful list of numbers for reporting problems

I thought it might be useful to have a thread where people could post numbers or contact details for reporting problems with roads or whatever. You know, those council numbers you spend an hour looking for, getting passed from pillar to post, and then have lost by the time you need it again.

Edinburgh

CLARENCE - deals with roads and lighting - 0800 232323
Environmental - good for dealing with broken glass, litter etc - 0131 529 3030
The gritting people - 0131 458 8011

Gloucestershire Highways

Online: Problems With Roads Or Pavements ?

For potholes, a phone report gets sent off to the road mending people within a couple of minutes. Web reports go in a queue for manual checking along with non-pothole phone reports such as fallen trees or oil on the road, and thus takes an hour or two longer.

Yes, but I thought it might be helpful for people to have an easy-to-find list of the useful numbers for each local authority.

Off topic (sorry Kirst) but this one is handy to have if you find an injured animal on a ride:
