Steersperson wanted, London

'Michael from London' is the borrower of a lovely blue Thorn from Charlotte's Tandems.

His regular steersman is away in the USA for a while and Michael is very keen to continue cycling in his absence.
Michael was unable to tell me the size of the tandem tonight but says his steersman is 6ft tall.

I am willing to act as go-between but have little information right now. I believe Michael lives in the Finchley area.

The Thorn Discovery that Michael rides is a 23"/20" frame, so the Captain/Pilot/Steersman needs to have a ride height of at least 34".  I am 5'10" and I have a ride height of 36".

Hope he finds someone to ride with as he enjoys it so much.  He tells us so, regularly on the Charlotte's Tandems Facebook site.  Have a look and see.

I am a little restricted by PBP qualifying ATM but am happy to captain at other times. I need to ride the tandem a fair bit this year anyway.

I met him for the first time for me at Barnet Cyclists last week. I've belonged to them for 30 years on and off but Michael seems to have appeared at times when I was absent.

swiss hat is very likely to be tapped up by Michael in the near future. He is a worthwhile stoker and we'll be riding again as conflicting schedules permit.

My suggestion is for SH to bring his own pedals (and spanner) and possibly saddle. It would also be worthwhile allowing some time to fettle the front mech before the ride.

I have received another request to find a pilot, this time on behalf of a lady who lives near Oakleigh Park Station.

I don't yet know the size of her steed but have asked.

[ETA] I understand Sue's regular pilot is 5'11" tall and the saddle has potential to be moved in both directions.
