The pictures themselves were mostly OK but the lack of on-screen time gaps and captions, especially towards the end when things started to get fragmented made it difficult even for TV's C Boardman and S Brotherton to follow who was where.

Often, times will be given for as many as three or four groups if the race has split up. Each time gap will be taken from the leading rider "
