Are you listening Gordon Brown.

U.S failed executives will be taken to task more so than lottery winning U.K. failed executives who are still getting massive compensation & allowing bonus payments to the workforce of failed companies all with taxpayers money >:(

Perhaps this should be in Rant.

Wondering if the Vodka Lounge at Revolution would be a good place to have a party. They want a £200 deposit but refund it if the bar takings are over £1500. It's a dilemma.

I'm contemplating whether or not I'm sufficiently recovered from flu and chronic diarrhoea to have something to eat.

I feel like a right killjoy saying this, but £1500?  That seems an awful lot of money to wee up the wall, even collectively  :o

Wondering whether a thread exists in which to describe the following bit of oddballery:

I was examining an Item in Sainsbury's the other day.  On the back of said Item was a sticker, which read something along the lines of "This Item has a security tag.  Please remove it before putting in the microwave".

Sound advice, perhaps, if the Item is a piece of microwave-friendly cookware, but who would buy 28 Weeks Later on DVD, take it home and think "Noes, I shall not yet place this Item in my DVD player.  I need to defrost it first." ???

That's what I thought too, even allowing for their ridiculous bar prices. I might invite all of you. They'll end up giving me more than my deposit back!

I'm most of the way through a bottle of Pitfield Stock Ale. It's very strong, about 10% I think. I won't have another beer this evening.

I rather envy Andrij and his black sheep. At least you can have the satisfaction of quantity there.

Killing time due to my own stupidity. We are going out with the local club today and they leave at 9.30am from Garstang, some 35 minutes drive from here. For some inexplicable reason I managed to calculate that we would need to leave here at 8.15am. So the alarm was set for 6.45am, and by 8.05am we were just about ready. That is when Mrs. TKP said, "why are we leaving at 8.15 when it takes 35 minutes and we don't need to be there until 9.30?". Good point Mrs. TKP. So now we have half an hour to kill.

Dawdling.  Finished the housework and ironing and eaten my breakfast.

Time to jump in the bath and head off to the hospital to visit a friend.

Scowling at the weather. I was just about to walk into town but it's snowing again.
