Trying to decide if I should open the pack of Soreen bars that I just bought. Never had them before but was seduced by the name. Would a bottle of 2001 Rioja go with Soreen bars ?

Regretting ordering supplies from Wiggle on Thursday that turned up today so that meant I could install them for tomorrow's 200. I should have been in bed at 10 at the latest as I knackered from a helluva fortnight anyway.
Damn Wiggle being so efficient.
Damn tyre exploding causing the mudguard to blow off.
Damn SKS mudguards for being so fiddly to fit. Once you get the idea they are simple and precise though.

Resisted the temptation last night - the Soreen lost out to a really nice Rioja.

Packet says "a moist, fruity cereal bar with raisins, rice, malt, oats and wheat."

Just opened one (in the interests of science): initial malt loaf smell pops out of the packet. Softer than many other bars, really fruity and good taste of malt.

I'll have to eat the rest of this bar before the "best before" date - like now while the porridge is preparing. Follow it with a Ristretto and I should be "hot to trot". A gentle 7 miles on old railway track should get me to Cafe Rouge just in time for a coffee and croissant. Return in time to lunch on stuffed mushrooms and then veg out in front of tv while Italy trash Wales followed by Ireland v Scotland.

Having a cuppa

Just done a relaxing 2.5 hrs and 80 miles on the motorbike, stopped at the community cafe in Pewsey for a cuppa & cake

, then on through lovely Wessex passing Avebury & back up Snap Hill. Bloomin' windy though - glad I was'nt cycling today

Working out where to get my 18 month-old Dinotte light fixed - it suddenly developed a mind of its own as I came home on Wed. Apologies to all in front of me that evening, I was not in control of my lighting.

It appears that this is not an uncommon problem with this light...

Hiding in my office from a house full of teenagers. #2 Son is having a "gathering" to celebrate his 16th. They are cooking Pizzas in a "how hot can you take?" challenge (There are many chillis in the kitchen) and playing X-Box and Wii games in the lounge. The girls sure can shriek
