Martin, what is the control list for this route? I have family near what I suspect is the route; might make a convenient 40-winks location.

Thanks. Doesn't quite go where I thought it might - I'll save the folks for LEL and book a Travelodge room for the StN instead.

good idea; You should be able to get to the one at Blyth by about 0100 and you won't need to leave until 0630-0730 depending on speed/ fairy visits etc. You'll meet a lot of other riders after that control.

It's pretty flat, just very basic. I've warmed to the ride a lot since doing it; my biggest bugbears were where the entry fee went and having to drive back afterwards (carrying about 200 AUK points in my car). And it was my last dry 400+ ride  :-\
