The temperature in our garden is 10°C at the moment. That's the first time since November I reckon.

Riding tonight with neither hat nor gloves, and not getting cold! I could get used to this! :D

Crocuses are now in flower in the park. The daffodil shoots seem to have grown about 2" in the pasts couple of days, although the ends are brown with frost damage. There are some buds appearing. Also, a pair of blue tits was making a heck of a din.

All my Narcissus are on standby. The buds are ready to bloom anytime now.
This time last year they had already bloomed.

The primroses by our gate are just beginning to flower :)

Interesting, because this photo was taken on 2 April last year...

I wore legwarmers this morning instead of tights.

And the cat wanted out at 11pm instead of 4am.

I rode with 2 layers instead of 3 for the first time this year, and track mitts instead of gloves!

Someone resized their picture with The Gimp - and clicked on the window with the picture on it. Sadly, the default black brush is active at the time.

I have done this. Eg:

In the precious few moments of this morning's ride when my vision wasn't totally obscured by driving snow/sleet I did glimpse the odd black headed gull assuming their chocolate brown summer headgear.  :)

A hint of warmth from the sun on yesterday's ride and a similar feeling this afternoon. A starling is nesting in a hole in the eave of the house opposite us. We shall be walking to the pub in daylight this evening for the first time this year. It's all adding up, won't be long now folks.

Underneath our bird feeder spilled seed is starting to sprout.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.
