I just did my tax return and they owe me money!!  Not a lot, admittedly, but enough for a large and splendid lunch in teh pub on sunday!
Pleased for you Mike.
I just did mine: with what they owe me, I can just about buy you a pint to go with your lunch.  ;D
It's a bit weird, but actually quite wonderful.

I just had an amusing but brief spam telephone conversation

Phone rings, displaying caller no. 00000000.

I pick up the receiver but say nothing. There is a few seconds' silence. Eventually person at other end opens the batting, in a strong accent typical of people trying to spam me. What is that accent? It might be Martian for all I know.

Martian: Hello?

Me: (basso profundo, possibly Marvin the Robot) Hello!

Martian: May I speak with Mr. Wallaker?

Me, after several seconds' pause: No.

Line goes dead.

I think I won that round.

Very slowly and build up your distance. Think gentle thoughts, pedal easily and smoothly, eat well, and hydrate.

I didn't realise you had to activate some code or other before filing my tax return online  :(

However, seeing as I will be filing a return that requires no payment, I won't get stung £100 - or at least I'll get it refunded  :)

Oh, and I got offered a (nice, secure, public sector) job. A big weight off my shoulders and smoothes the way to getting the kids over.

Did a favour for a work colleague yesterday* & today she gave me a huge bar of utterly lovely chocolate!

*I made a costume for her daughter who is off to a Mama Mia party. The fabric was very glittery & now my carpet (in fact my whole flat) looks like the night sky!   ::-)

At sunset or sunrise, the sky can often seem pink and fluffy...

Something either end of the day has to be either end of the night too!

And there really isn't all that much pink here. At the moment the only pink things I can see are gloves, ear muffs, a cup, some socks, a T-shirt, a coat, my make-up bag... Oh  :-[  ;D

Try opening your wardrobe.  A cacophony of pink will assault the senses.
