Blodwyn Pig:

Everyone has a favourite bag, a day bag, an 'all the time ' bag, a camping  bag, and some have a tale to tell.

here's mine.  It's an old (prob 60's /70's) Karrimor saddle bag. I bought it almost 20 years ago at a general Auction in Herne Bay, and it had the uplift frame with it, and was in considerably better condition, and only cost me £6. I've used it on and off ever since, and its getting a bit dog eared in places, with a few holes. I have been lusting after a nice new Camper Longflap in Green / honey, but really there is nowt wrong with this. So got it down off the shelf again yesterday, sewed the edgings back on, and patched the holes with some badges, and I think it looks better on Blodwyn than a rackpack.

Mind you if a Camper longflap  in green , came up on special for £50 I would have to buy it ::-)

Pedal Castro:
My Carradice Nelson Long Flap, c.1980, as attached to my old race bike for a three day tour (385 miles) of east Brittany last week. Picked up 12 FFCT-BPF controls en route too.

Here's an interesting link for the sewing minded and 'cleverer' folks on here.

My old bag was becoming less water proof so I got the kit from Carradice for bag RnR

I'm still using the bag

Pedal Castro:
I use a 5l drybag inside mine, that holds all my clothes and also keeps the bag from sagging in the middle.
