I'm jolly excited about this  :D

Now which Audax member has got the stairs to get me down from this platform?

So why have you got a Lego figure as your avatar?

Look closely, it's a protest.  If it wasn't so cold I would of strapped myself to a tall building dressed as a super hero.

You're welcome to part of the lego from 7596 Christophe

I'd suggest the piggy grappling device which is a bit of established skillset within MEMWNS  8)

ODs Lego figure seems to be brandishing a red strap on.

Exactly.  Like I said, its an act of protest.

No, it's just an Essex thing.  I was never like this before I moved out east.

Anyhow, enough of this silliness.  Let's annoy Oaky with some forward planning.  Where shall we go next Wednesday?  Anyone fancy a curry*?

Where do you have in mind? Less wintry weather is possible next week.

I dunno, I'm canvassing opinion.  In the absence of suggestions I could volunteer some ideas but I thought I'd see what other folk thought first.

If the venue was within the orbit of Planet Dunmow, I could make it along after Book Club....

I'm probably not out next week as I am child free so have to go out on a couple of dates with Mrs C. Also need to get a few miles in as am supposed to be doing Tomsk's G&YF in a couple of weeks.....  so won't be stopping for curry.

Anyway my suggestions would be Eastern View in Coggeshall or there's a new South Indian restaurant on Queen St in Colchester but can't remeber the name. Also the one in Hatty P's was good especially BYOB. Obviously none of these are any where near Dunmow. ::-)

I'm up for an outing, either with or without curry...  No preferences as to where though.

Tomsk - what's your post-book-club range?

Our Man in the Leighs (bloomers) suggested the Raj Mahal in Felsted although reviews on Strip Tripadvisor are a bit mixed.  I really don't mind, I'm happy to fall in line with the consensus.

I will be in London during the day tomorrow, but should be able to get back in time to head out by about 7:30.

The natural, direct route from here looks to be ~12.5 miles (alternatively a route via North hill clocks in at ~19 miles).

What time do we want to be arriving at the Raj Mahal?  9:00?  9:30?

That sounds good.  I think a quick whizz up TMNH might be a good idea as we'll be taking on mucho calories later.  I guess that makes an ETA in Felsted of 2100 hrs reasonable???  Shall I fettle a route?

I was wondering about booking but I'm not sure who's coming.  I have just texted Tomsk and have had some interest from chief and bloomers.
