Not me - I'll be heading straight to the Swan once I'm home from Leighton Buzzard

I'll be absent this week - Acorn #2 is perfromaing in "Oliver!" each evening, and Wednesday and Thursday are mrs_o's turn to "vounteer" to help backstage.

I'm tempted to nip over there tonight to eat all their Scotch Eggs.  :demon:

Indeed, but given that some of us will be exerting ourselves on Saturday, a short MEMWNS ride seemed in order. My choice would be the Three Elms or the Compasses, or a Braintree pub.

None of this 50 mile round trip nonsense  ;D

Thank you Tomsk.

Message understood.

That's two threads where I am being bullied into riding the Shark.

I might have to sort out my bike and ride it in that case.

"Bullied" is a strong word!  Can we agree on "gently persuaded"?

I should point out that I am coming out of my self emposed audax retirement for The Shark so it would be nice to think others are making an effort  ;D

Brentwood Blond for Tom tonight and Maldon Gold for me at the 3 Elms.  Low numbers turn out but Nik did arrive by car so that made 3.

I managed a nice 47km ride round to the pub missing the rain and enjoying the sunset and headwind for a bit - enjoyed a herd of Does in the field near Ingatestone saw the largest white stag I have ever seen on my way from Good Easter - a truly enjoyable ride!

Ted - I have Nik's BB tool here for you, hope your in Chelmsford on Thursday?  Drop me a PM or something to arrange collection?
Regards,

Joergen

If the route involved TMNH, we'd see how it pales into insignificance compared to Toys, Ide, Hogtrough Hill... 'enjoyed' on Saturday.  ::-)

You hard-as-nails-Sharkers will just have to do repeats.

I'll sit outside The Rodney and keep count.

Actually I haven't been to The Rodney on years.  Shall we go there?

Will there be a spreadsheet ?

I won't be out as Mrs Shred is taking me out for a relaxed lunch.

There's "relaxed" and then there's "relaxed" enough to need to miss out on evening drinks!

Chapeau!

I'll help Oaky by making sure he doesn't get dehydrated when he is counting.

You're a martyr to the cause

I have your headset press.  If you want it sooner I can deliver it to Tippers Towers any time or otherwise wait until a Wednesday night or MEWBS ride.  Thank you very much for the loan.

For the avoidance of doubt I'm not minded to do repeats of TMNH, not after Saturday. One ascent will be plenty.

Witham Peloton ... I doubt I will have time to do a route. Would someone else like to volunteer or should we just follow our noses?

We could try to do the correct version of the route we did 2 months ago to The Rodney when OD was hibernating on one wheeled cycles that don't go anywhere.
