I appreciate the way he writes about the history of the places he's riding through and works it into his route. Fascinating places as well as beautiful.

Fascinating.

I know small bits of that route quite well and my brother used to live in Hebden Bridge, He never mentioned that it was the 'Lesbian Capital of the UK', probably because we never had any reason to mention it, but did used to say that it was the sort of place that if there was a road traffic accident that they'd probably call an aromatherapist before the ambulance.
