One of the volunteers I was working with on Saturday and Sunday was part of the bike team part of the opening ceremony that got canned. He said it was awesome and great fun.

Go on then, since it was cancelled, and isn't going to be seen by anyone now, there's no secret to keep any more.  What did it involve?

No.
But I did have a fitting for a flame retardant suit & balaclava.

Some, rather unkindly, referred to it as a 'gimp suit'. Whatever that might be.

Fourth paragraph.

From that: "THE Olympics security fiasco sparked more chaos last night as the spectacular Opening Ceremony was dramatically SLASHED."

Bloody media.

Hopefully the self-interested tosser that wrote that can reflect on it...
It is simpler than it looks.

Shamefully ( :-[), it is probably one of my less-than-professional compatriots who let this *ahem* slip.

Akshully, yeah.
'Self-interested tosser' is much closer to the mark  :)

I'm going out on my bike.
