et avec John, excellent lecteur de road-book, on s'en est sortis sans erreur
I started it, but only as a pisstake
It doesn’t matter where you start. Just start.
Ach sorry, never read the OP. My post was an attempt at a witty reposte to PB's grizzling
If I go back 8 months or so, I think that there were only 5 names on that list of 12 with which I was familiar: Wiggins, Ennis, Murray, Hoy and McIroy. I hadn't heard of Farah until the Olympics started. OK, I'm a sample of 1, but I'd conclude that he hadn't had nearly so much media exposure as the others - Golf and Tennis invariably feature on radio news bulletins, and I'm interested in cycling.Having said that, if, this time last year, someone had shown me a photo of Wiggo, I doubt that I would have been able to name him.

That is because chess is a game, just like checkers or Monopoly. Calling it a sport doesn't make it so.
I've worked all day and all night (as I'm sure many others have) and been left physically exhausted and mentally drained, but I wouldn't call "Going to work" a sport...
