Blanket / hoodie / slanket things
« on: 29 October, 2020, 09:39:16 pm »
So winter is coming. I'm thinking would be nice to have a cosy fleece blanket/hoody for sitting around in.

The Oodie looks quite nice. Though not in stock till December. https://theoodie.co.uk/
Or Hoodie Lab, for a simpler thing, no sleeves, nice designs. https://hoodielab.com/product-category/hooded-blanket/

Or plenty of cheap things on Ebay / AliExpress / Amazon, though not sure what sort of materials they are. Are they actually as warm?
Any recommendations?

Wow those Oodies are warm and comfy I'm sure, but feck me, they're expensive and ugly
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

I have a heated throw a bit like https://www.johnlewis.com/dreamland-alaskan-husky-faux-fur-throw/p5111249 for the sofa.

Husband initially laughed at it but now he seems to have taken permanent possession of it.

It's not cheap, but it's lasted years and is washable and very, very warm. If you're under it there's not really a need to heat the whole house if you're on your own.

I find my legs get cold first, so what works for me when I,m siting around is an ordinary fleece blanket with the bottom hem sewn to make a footbox, like a backpacking quilt.  Also, if your hands get colds, try legwarmers. Upside down, on your arms.
