Why, thank you madam!  I'm getting better at it recently, cos I'm not riding my bike and taking pictures is what I tend to do when I'm not riding my bike

Why aren't you riding your  bike?   ???

I'll have to take your word for it, or the high or low road, or something.

Lovely.  When I replied earlier, your picture didn't load, hence crypticism - it does now.

Teesdale (well, it's Harwood Beck rather than the Tees you can see, but it's winding its way down to meet the Tees):

My nomination for the dullest landscape photo evvah.  Take away the road signs and that's what a substantial chunk of New Mexico looks like.  This is about 30 miles north of Roswell and explains why the aliens chose that part of the world to crash in - they fell asleep at the wheel.

It's a house in Fulking. All that's missing is the landscape.

Okay. Here's a landscape (or river mostly) near Twynham. In a bit of a flood since the recent rains.

Hi there, Riggers :)

Here's a recent one--we went to the annual festival at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute this fall. I was itching to see the place, and our tickets for last year's festival were cancelled when Congress shut down the federal government. As it turned out, we saw a lot of crowds and only a few animals--but that's what you get when the place is only open one day per year, I guess.

SCBI is a huge place--it used to be an Army quartermaster camp that raised horses. This spot is called Racetrack Hill--there's an old horse track around the hill, and a small horse graveyard. Looking west, like in this picture, you're facing toward the very northern end of Shenandoah National Park and the town of Front Royal.

Well, not from over here, anyway.
