I’m on train back from Bristol. At one point I thought I might get back at a reasonable time, but that window of opportunity has passed.

We're in the Cricketers, Clavering, 60km to Writtle. Wrap up warm, it's cold tonight.

We don't have a route from Spa Rd, I haven't had the chance to fettle one.

I've had a rummage through the archives and COME UP WITH THIS.  But I might had a chance to load it into a Garmin so if anyone planning from launching from Spa Rd can oblige it would be handy.

Ignore the above message, the route is to the Woolie  ::-)

Next week, The Spiritual Home are doing carols on Thursday evening. So we could do Wednesday on Thursday perhaps?

I've got a conference call this evening so will not be out. Just as well, given the mega cold which currently afflicts me.

Hmm, looking at his currently impaired keyboard skills, I wonder what Nicknack might be up to...

I won't be out tonight most likely - I need to finish work on the bike that Hotblack so expertly put together for me on Sunday.  Hotblack really is the man    I will be giving him an intensive course in photography to say thank you.

I have an off site tomorrow so unlikely as well.

So this evening, carols at The Compasses (*) start at 8pm so 7pm at Spa Road for the Witham peloton?

(*) I hope we’ve got this right and it isn’t just a random woman called Carol at The Compasses.

If you can't make Spa by 7pm head over the The Compasses anyhow, should be a fun night.

Is there a plan for this Wednesday?

I propose that the Great Totham Compasses is removed from our Wednesday night venue list (if such a thing actually exists) - the place is never open when I've tried to stop there, most recent attempt was at 9:15pm last Friday.
It's one of 30 pubs on the MAD real ale trail, with free beer at the Maldon beer festival being the reward for visiting 20 or more of them.

The Plan says The Vine, Black Notley.  The Cross Keys at White Notley also looks like it’s had a rebirth. Double header?
