Title: IE7 - open new tab takes ages

Basically as subject. Takes 5 or 6 seconds during which ie is unresponsive.
 

Firefox seems OK

Any ideas?

No, seems fine.  Something else you've got conflicting?

OK

Had a look online. Solved by disabling some third party add ons.
