Checked The Woodman's Daughter on Sunday afternoon - all good. The Flitch Way and the Comedy Off-Road through the Forest was fine on 28mm tyres and the Stort Navigation Towpath, though a bit rough in places is dry and firm.
Rode round four-fifths of The Woodman yesterday afternoon ... then went to the pub! The Bluebells are looking good, especially in Fryerning Wood (just after Blackmore) - there's a haze of blue throughout the depths of the wood. The small area of woodland along the Flitch Way at Takely is thickly carpeted too, for those on the off-road Daughter. In fact if 100km riders aren't 'going for a time' then I highly recommend the 50km off-road route to Sawbridgeworth, for a proper taste of Hatfield Forest in the Springtime.
