I do them to only 20Nm (SA say 25Nm).  25Nm is perilously close to stripping the threads of genuine SA nuts, which are quite soft.  Aftermarket 13/32" nuts may be much harder.  It goes without saying that the threads must be clean and lubricated.  25Nm will certainly strip, or at least damage, a gritty nut.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

I’ve got some wanky aftermarket Ti Workshop nuts on my 6sp Brompton, mostly because the originals were pretty rusty. I have no idea whether the Ti threads are stronger than those on genuine SA nuts.
