Looks like they have learnt from the fiasco of a couple of years ago and are missing out Yorkshire then.....

Welshpool to Caerphilly again?

I'm not complaining, there was a massive crowd on the mountain last year, and they go up it twice this year. The finish area by the castle was also obviously a big hit.

Was that the one where Bernie Eisel hopped off his bike, cheered the peloton through, then hopped back on his bike to join in again?

Scottish bit looks like Peebles to Dumfries or the other way round. Make it more fun by taking them via the 7-stanes on cyclocross bikes :)

Part of me is glad that they are not running the same old London crit circuit again.  They have done it far too many times..  and there is more to London than up and down the Embankment.  (although I accept that it is an easy area to close off for a Sunday.)

The rest of me liked it as it was busy and had good crowds and great photo opportunities.

Might be tempted to saunter out for the Surrey stage, if we're about.

I missed the tour coming through my home town of Hadleigh last year since I was doing a ride from Chelmsford to Portland, Dorset. Hopefully this year I'll ride over to Ipswich to see the start.

Wonder if the lions will have been fed before the finish in Knowsley Safari Park? If not I'll bet no-one will go for a lone break in the last 2k.
Working my way up to inferior.

I recall when there were races at the West Midlands Safari Park years ago.

Races were billed as "The Meals on Wheels Kermesse"

We might go and have a gander at the start, too.

It looks like I can make Caerphilly mountain this year!  :D

And they go up it twice this year, so that makes up for it!

Several people told me there last year, "oh, I've just popped out during my lunch break..." - and they were still there at half past three.  ;D
