I've never met anyone who I've known to have a 29th Feb birthday -
Neither have I.  I've heard tell of them though!

It's good to know you're a fellow fish!

It's gone a bit silly here - someone's just walked past wearing a 2012 anorak - and they've put up 2012 pink signage.  Most of it is pretty irrelevant - we are nowhere near the Olympic Stadium (West) exit.  The toilets have been rebranded, Pit Stop.

I'm retiring on May 11th!  That's good news!  I can't think of any bad news to go with that so I'm clearly going well off topic.

Good news, I managed a decent nights sleep without this bloody cough waking me up.

Bad news, I've had the trots from hell all day....I suspect the "past their use by date" lamb chops from last night.

Good news, I'm not sprinting to the bog anymore.

Bad news, the cough appears to be back with a vengeance, sealing up my airways and making my eyes pop out of my head !

Good news - I have applied for several jobs.

Bad news - sitting at a computer composing CVs and letters has given me a headache!

Good news: I'm feeling considerably less ill today.  Tired rather than in pain.

Bad news: Discovered a mysterious bruise on my right calf last night.  Must be from the barakta birthday ride (the last time I rode an upwrong), but I've no memory of a pedal incident, and I'm surprised I didn't spot it sooner.  ???

I often find large nasty looking bruises on my legs with a clue of when or how it happened.
My guess is that it may during an adrenalin rush moment during some sort of incident. (Usually self inflicted)

Bad news:  It is raining.
Good news:  CU and CA are dragging my sorry arse out for a bike ride anyway.  I think they might not be 100% fairweather cyclists any more!

23 May - good news: I have a berth @ £39 and a space for my bike and they cancelled my reservation for the 22nd / bad news: well its an inconvenience, but hardly bad news

Good news: After years of rolling 3-month contracts, Mrs Cudzo's dept of Big Financial Data Co is finally offering permanent contracts.

Bad news: In Cape Town.

Good news: Ten days ago, she started on a permanent contract in another dept of the same co.

Bad news: It's Sales and she's not sure she can hack it. But it's early days yet.

Good news: made it round our usual weekend loop yesterday with only a minimum of grumbling from my lungs (and most of that while riding through the smoke from a bonfire).

Bad news: a lovely village pub where we often stop for a pint on the way back seems to have closed  :(.
Half term's when the traffic becomes mysteriously less bad for a week.

Bad news: MFWHTBAB just cycled off back to his car to drive home. After a whole week together, the flat seems quite empty.*

Good news: while walking back from a coffee out, we picked up three abandoned broken umbrellas to dismantle for bag lining material - two black, and one rather nice black and grey Greek key style pattern.

That's quite touching...

I never remember where I heard it, but I heard a story of someone whose granny had a tin labelled "Pieces of string too short to be useful".  That will be me one day.

I'm fairly sure my gran had one of those.  Possibly without the label.  She was proficient at reef knots, though, so their utility was not lost.

My Grandma had a Cupboard of Soap. About the size of a small single wardrobe, with shelves, full (I mean, packed) of bars of soap. Fairy, Dove, Simple, that sort of thing, mostly in double or triple packs. Whenever she saw it on offer, she stocked up.

So I know I have the genes....

So did mine. She said you should always be well in hand with soap, because new soap lathers too much so you should keep it for a while so that it lasts better when you use it.  :)
