It was the Swan in Bures, fantastic food and a warm welcome, I recommend it and would like to go again.

Ooh, my second local - just 3 miles down the road from home. Damn fine pub!

Where is your fist local?

Isn't that a bit of an intimate question?

Good to see your typo radar is functioning as well in 2009 as it did in 2008  ;D

Here's my orange long-sleeved yacf jersey, which I wore for the first time today:

Orange is one of the best colours, I think.  And the bike has fatter tubes than you (grumble grumble winter weight and four weeks to the TT season...)

Yes, I'm pleased with the colour

As for the weight issue, I've still got a few pounds to lose myself.  I've got several hilly sportives on the agenda, starting in May, and I'd like to be about half a stone lighter than I am now!

Me & Chillmoister (Bratton pub, halfway into Kennet Valley 200)

The "Tight Bend" chevron design on the back looks excellent btw.

I get it a lot.  Unfortunately nobody has sent me his pay-cheque by mistake yet.

Yeah, but can you cook snail porridge?

I could definitely cook a version of snail porridge.

I'm assuming Heston doesn't use Tesco "Value" porridge and snails of the back of his shed.

If you want to try my looky-likey version:

1) 1/2 cup porridge oats
2) 1/2 cup milk
3) 1/2 cup water
4) 1/2 cup Shed Snails
5) Salt

Stir ingredients together
microwave 3 mins
stir
microwave 2 mins
leave to stand 1 minute
Eat
wait 30 seconds
Vomit

Fantastic.  I've just bought a frame just like that cos Blah bought the sloping top tube version and recommended Ribble frames.  I am currently swapping the components from my old road bike over.  Is it a nice ride?  Are you please with it???

Perhaps I should buy a jersey to match the bike!

This is my first road bike, so lots to get used to.  I did my first commute on it today, roughly 45 minutes each way.  I like how it responds.  Now looking forward to try it on some climbs.

That would be much cheaper than the way I did it.  ::-)  ;)

Lovely looking bike Andrij

I wish I'd thought about the matching YACF jersey thing before they sold out of red ones.  I reckon it woul dhave been perfect.

Rogerzilla, I know you MUST have an XL in red somewhere, I mean come on, Red/White/Black, I think I need one.

IT'S NOT FAIR ! ANDRIJ MATCHES HIS BIKE AND I WANT TO MATCH MY BIKE (although my black one is lovely and slimming)

Nice bike!

How does she ride?  I have one in pieces in my garage, a skip rescue that I mean to get resprayed and restored, juts need a few spare quid and the impetus to get it done.  Where did you have the paintwork sorted?

My son nicked my YACF ss jersey for our ride together  today - little large for him but it does match the shorts and bike!
