Is this forward planning??

Is anyone up for the White Hart Inn, swan lane  https://plus.google.com/112897410451565041171/about?gl=uk&hl=en#112897410451565041171/about?gl=uk&hl=en
next week, wednesday or Thursday

old git

I could be up for this, at the moment I don't mind either Wed or Thurs. I could probably leave Witham about 6:30pm aiming for an 8pm arrival at the White Hart but due to the ~90 minute ride home (for me anyway), I'll not want to be leaving for home too late, let's say between 9:30 and 10pm?  This obviously cuts down on rehydration time which may not be a bad thing this time of year!  However, it does afford an early opportunity to chat about forthcoming cycling adventures  :D

I'm thinking about Thursday as well; can't do Wednesday.  I'm after more miles and less beer plus need to be home at a reasonable hour.

Reference our possible outing to Tiger's Island on Thursday evening; I have a route from Witham which was last enjoyed on 9th November 2011.  I won't be upset if someone comes up with an alternative because (a) it includes some comedy off-roading under the A12 and (b) it uses Hammonds Road which was badly flooded just before Christmas (but might be OK now) and (c) is 38 miles long.

Thoughts lovely peoples?

PS - I shall be riding Arthur the Cadenza so able to cope with aforementioned off-roading.  Son of Oscar the Ribble is still on the workstand and Claud has ice tyres fitted which I don't think will be required.  What I'm trying to say is that 23c tyres may not be a good idea if we go for my route suggestion.  Having said that I have ridden the route on 23c as has Huggy I think.

I have 25c tyres fitted now  :smug:

The route I had previously is http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=327017 but it could be tweaked

Same route I think.  You'll get extra points if you ride the Milano.  Assuming we do go please can you have the route loaded into your Garmin.  I will be attempting to navigate using a track rather than a route.  I have never done this before.  It has disaster writ large all over it  ;D

Have fun. I'm no good for Thursday due to work commitments and Mrs C.'s tap dancing exploits. Will be cycling home on Wednesday night instead.

Looking more like a 20:30 arrival on Thursday due to a slightly later departure with some potential new blood

Where's the beerride report, then?

Exiles need to know!  ;)

Ah ... a non-traditionalist Thursday outing...

I didn't realise that forward-planning had returned again ;)

We decided to wait for the temperature to get back to more seasonal frosty conditions, don't want any warm weather riding just yet  :hand:

The chances of me coming back out again tonight on my bike are slim to zero.
