just back in.

wrecked.

very.

when tokamak and I parted company (and he was wisely pushing his bike!), we'd both collapsed several times and picked ourselves up again.  In the end it was only forward momentum that got me home, I think.  24.5 miles (so the London cycle challenge site gets 25 since it only takes whole numbers of miles) at 12.5 mph in total.  Approximately 98 pints were drunk my me and, about 97 by ToKaMaK.  At least that's the nearest I've got so far towards recollection.  EDIT: Oh, and I caught him napping and won the sprint to the Rose and Crown pub sign

That has to be the drunkest I've been for ages.  What a fantastic night.

But, lest it's forgotten, let me just quote the immortal words of boab for a moment: "Yeah, go for it - whatever you can give.... Actually, no, just a splash"

Thanks for a nice evening again chaps, pleased to hear everyone got home okay.

I am about to hit the road to sweat out the excesses of the evening.

The red leader hi viz is truly a site to behold. Look forward to the pics.

It was a truly impressive rate of consumption. As I was driving, I stuck to soft drinks, but two pussies was enough for this lady. First time I've had that, and a very pleasant experience. Didn't like to look too closely, but I think pussy might be 'brown' on the boab scale, which equates to not really allowed.
As always Essex night out=double entendre fest. ;D

You got in an hour after me!  :o Not surprised you're wrecked but I will be surprised if you and Tokamak are atwerk!  :o Bloomers wasn't a slouch when it came to drinking either and he, and chief, had the furthest to go.  ::-)
Boab's Pussy smelt nice but I didn't much fancy a drink of it so I stuck two fingers up to it. As an energy drink you can't lick Pussy, as the ads say.

I took the long way home as it was such a lovely night.

Pics on the way but only if the money orders don't show up!  :demon:

LOL - I'm at work now and feeling very productive.

boab's pussy was certainly one of the talking points of the night.  I didn't taste it myself, although I have a feeling I was photographed stroking it.

EDIT: Oh, and my pork puppet was nowhere to be seen.

This is for signalling to the person at the bar to grab some nuts.

Tokamak, Oaky, OD, Chief, Bloomers, Grant, boab, and Kevin.

Stroking Pussy.

Well what a splendid evening

The CO2 balancing worked well with a low-key arrival at the Walnut at about 20:45.  Good to see such a large turnout particularly the two OD-developed newbies  :D

I'm not sure I know where to begin in recounting the content of last night but in summary, it was the classy talk we all know and love  :-*

Being a man of much experience, and it being a school night, I left about midnight when Bloomers said ' :o they are ordering another round'.  I can't recall much of the ride home but was pleasantly surprised not to wake up in the R&C's beer garden   (I also went past it this morning to check for bikes still outside)

Final mileage was <50 miles  O:-)

Nah! If he's injured we'd best hope it's his left collar bone. Then he and bobb can be a team again.  :P

He has amazing powers of recovery. The day after his birthday I felt I had to go to his tent just to make sure he was still alive. He was. So he got up and we cracked a couple of beers  :P

If only I wasn't a cripple, looks like much fun was had  :'(

Some Wednesday evening photos from me ...

Our ride over went past Terling ford where four horses and traps were being driven through.  One horse. which you can see in the background of the first photo, was not having it at all.  We left in case four bikes added to the poor nag's anxiety:

Wasabi broad beans were indeed a revelation:

As were pole dancing olives:

Just how extensive is your collection of photographs of pub snacks?  You should consider publishing a glossy coffee-table book of them.

Actually, your collection may even rival chief's collection of photos of me holding a pint in /outside the pubs of Essex.

Oscar's dad walks nervously down the runway, the ominous music plays in the background, the audience are racked with tension; this is the contestant they've been waiting all night for.

Oscar's dad sits down in the legendary black chair.  Silence.

"Your name please?"

"Oscar's dad"

"Your specialist subject?"

"Bar snacks"

"And before we begin your two minutes may I say how fantastic is your hi-vis jacket.  Those patches are sewn on with such care and I particularly like the walkie-talkie loop"

"Thank you John"

Ahem, for some strange reason I didn't feel too great yesterday, so spent the day in bed! ::-) I did walk my bike home, fortunately I only live about a mile away from the last pub. I don't think I got in until about 2am - took me ages to locate my key in my pannier!

So here are a few photos, taken on my new HTC Legend smart phone.

Quite a comical evening. ;D

As you are aware I am introducing new and inexperienced cyclists to our HEALTHY pastime.  One such innocent was with us on Wednesday.  I WAS thinking of e-mailing them a link to YACF in general and this thread in particular.  I'm now not sure that's such a good idea.

Oaky, what the f%#k were you doing naked???
