The Southend Bach Choir, of which I am a member, were leading this. It's the first time I've had the opportunity to hear us sing, having always been part of the action! I thought we were... OK*.

The soloist for Once in Royal was very quiet on the day, but clearly the microphone did its work well. There was a lack of balance from the West Leigh School Boys' Choir (nothing to do with us), the organist made several very obvious mistakes and the editing left a fair bit to be desired (poems are meant to have a pause between each verse) but other than that it was perfect.

If you can hear a particularly resonant bass then that is probably me.
