That first photo, didn't we ride up that on our October perm rabbit......it has a sign that says something like 10%, but it's a little bit steeper.

S'pose I'd better go out on a bike ride to see if my legs still work.

It`s around about the 16-18% mark all way UP (and down)---very hard climb and often windswept top section; IIRC sign says 16%. It`s also site where 4 people died (now small memorial) a year or two back when crashed car at bottom and ended up in Clywedog reservoir, so beware on descent.

LOL yeah - I'm sure the sign at the bottom of the hill on the way over to Mach says 12% downhill (not uphill!) - evil lies it is, evil!

Looking forward a lot to this one. Did a big ride yesterday and had a couple of crashes but plan a relatively easy week training wise so hoping to recover in time.

On hills that steep I don't think it'll be any quicker to ride tbh!

I left here at same time last w/e for CNF 200 @ Andoversford so no reason not to...

Leominster is just 25 min though for me

Leominster is over 3 hours for me so me and Mrs F are making a weekend of it. Any recommendations as to where to go to eat and drink on Friday and Saturday night. Saturday may need to be lateish as I'm not convinced I'm going to make it back for 8:30 pm.

I have had good reports of Chequers http://chequersleominster.co.uk/ and see http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g503875-d3568139-Reviews-Chequers-Leominster_Herefordshire_England.html or there is a good Indian restaurant; there`s quite a choice of pubs in the town centre.

Just looking at the email and it says the routesheet and GPS files have been updated on AUKweb. However, it appears only the routesheet has an updated date on the AUK page for this event? Is the GPS file the same as 2014?
