Just musing on the way into work, with the chunkiness of my MTB's Landrover-sized tyres whining away. I have been compelled, as many here know, to switch to mountain bike from road bike for commuting, and it was initially a little odd.
What has struck me, though, is that I am enjoying riding a beast I haven't touched in a couple of years. It is fun for a number of reasons, not least being the simple fact that I am not spending most of the ride looking out for potholes, tarmac overlaps and other irritations, but simply pedalling away happily.
I know Clarion has posted about renewing his 'Swiftsure'; I am wondering if there is anyone else who has rediscovered old gold, whether it be a bike, an old tent, a ride they haven't done in aeons, whatever.
