Ripping Yarns is being broadcast on Yesterday right now. So much more interesting than programmes about North Korea.

The Cornish custom, smashing the house up when the football team looses and passing the port were Ripping Yarns - right?

Thanks for the tip-off. I loved Ripping Yarns at the time and have often wondered why it has never been repeated (to my knowledge).

Will check it out. I expect it all seems horribly dated now...

Tomkinson's Schooldays was like school and The Testing Of Eric Olthwaite was like home. Happy days.

Is being broadcast right now. But it's got canned laughter, which (a) is annoying and (b) I don't remember from the original.
