May I present to you 'Chase the Sun 2019'.
An annual cycle challenge held on the Saturday closest to the longest day of the year.
330km - Sunrise to Sunset - East to West - Coast to Coast. A collective adventure!
Fifth time of asking for me next year. Always great camaraderie with nearly 500 cyclists taking part in 2018.
Now in its eleventh year, the next edition takes place on 22nd June 2019.
It is a FREE event and can be done as a DIY audax
Starting alongside the Thames estuary on the Isle of Sheppey, the route bi-sects South London, passing through Richmond Park, bridging the River Thames and taking into coastal industries, natural wetlands, Roman roads, vales, rivers and gorges along the way plus all the usual cross-country highlights including the majestic beauty of the Pewsey Downs as well as the breathtaking descent of Cheddar Gorge before arriving on the seafront finish at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset.
Plus there is a Wetherspoons right opposite the finish line. What more of an incentive do you want!
