Eureka/Cheshire Safari

Many thanks to the organiser and his helpers for yesterday’s excellent ride , the weather was the kindest it has been in all my years of doing it 🙃 it really was a shame to here he had about 20 did not starts with only a couple of emails to let him know when the event was well over subscribed 🤔
I also was particularly amused by the people arriving back looking like they had been down the mines through riding in groups with no guards on 😆😆

Yeah it was definitely a great day out and the weather was better than just recently.  Well @pieman everyone in my group had mudguards on and my seat tube still got splattered - gonna be fun cleaning it after work today in the failing light.  Lots of crap got attracted to the chain too - luckily I have one of those Park Tool chain cleaners for that and it will be sparkling in no time.  And looking out the office window today... nice again... stuck in here though uhh  :'(

I took it nice and easy, catching up with a few folk and meeting new ones along the way. Good route, good company, good weather, a nice way to spend a day

Riders , it would not be much fun without you! Thanks to mike and the soup dragon + all the shops cafes on the route . It takes a lot to sort  everything out but it is worth it, ;D I have done over 200 of these mad rides  just putting something back .
About to sort out next years ride

and the soup dragon

You're brave, I guess your wife doesn't get on here often.

Thanks for organising, I look forward to seeing you next year

I loved it though the wind for a third was tough but one thing ... I rode in a group fro the first 80km and only 2 of the 5 had mudguards on and it was so ad at time I dropped back, do people not think for others !

Next year we are on the 10 th November ,all I have to do now is sort controls . I put an M on the web page  about 7 years ago  requesting mudguards this is for both riders and our cafe controls we don't want to mess their cafe s  up or they may not wellcome us back . keep safe out there
