The Elder - a Wii and Now n+1. Mrs Dan and I wanted the wii too, so that is a three-way mutual present.

The Younger - hasn't worked out that you can ask for presents yet and is still quite pleased at the daily chocolate from the night garden picture :)

Our Wii board is really a family present I guess.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

 he has a Lego lunchbox

A lunchbox made of Lego, or a Lego-branded one?

My colleague's little girl wants a "luxury pink hamster cage."  :-\

Nintendo DS.

what, for each of them?

yup

but thats £300 - there's a credit crunch you know!

Oh, they've been bought already.

Lets hope they enjoy them!  Perhaps it'll keep them quiet on the train down to London and then the 6hr return journey as we crawl around the engineering works.

The DS is a brilliant little thing. I like the way they can play games with each other wirelessly.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

I think Minimac would like anything with pictures in. Catalogues and Sunday papers mags are perfect and in plentiful supply. And free
He is also getting wooden bricks and a shape sorter and a squirty bath thing. And probably a veritable mountain of stuff from doting family as he is the only grandchild on both sides. Happily my sensible mum is giving him National Savings certificates.

He's pretty bemused by the whole Santa thing.

I was both relived and a bit sad when Pcolbeck junior got to about 10 and I no longer had to spend all Christmas morning assembling stuff and applying hundreds of sticker (usually Hotwheels sets).
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Older mini wants a watch, and a DS game/or large lava lamp.
Younger mini wants a FurReal Feathers McCaw parrot  (cheaper at Argos!)
Ages 5-105 (I might have fun with this too ;) ) http://www.hasbro.com/furreal/default.cfm?page=Products/Detail&product_id=19354#

Santa is responsible for the Christmas stockings; well as far as younger mini is concerned...

I owned scalectrix 8 years befor I was born:D  Still got all the track up in the loft.

Since i'm still basically a juvenile at heart, I'm hoping my mummy gets me this, and hopefully more Lego ;D

One of the great advantages of being a grandparent is the joy of Having Children Round II with Santa Claus being part of your life again  once a year.

I have ,for the last 10 years, been no older than my grandchildren ;D & really enjoy being a kid again.

Our Kid wants a wethepeople BMX. No chance!

Yeah I saw those (as a sweetener after he missed out on the limited edition Cycle World special slashed from £1200 to a mere £499; for an effin' BMX???? it's just the same Chinese crap with a different logo on) not even got brakes FFS.

He seems quite happy with Kink for half the price once he realised he'd have to stump up some of his own wad.

On a tangent; his m8 worked out a scam whereby he put a Christmas card in each of the free local papers he delivered and came away with a £70 Xmas tip; we toned it down a bit to a simple 1 line printed  flyer which went out last week. He wanted to knock on the door and hand over each copy personally  :hand:

(back in the day)

we used to get given a Christmas tip by 2 or 3 houses and be grateful

Some friends 12 yro wants Call of Duty, rated “15” AFAIA, because his mates play it.  He’s been told he can’t have it, because it’s not appropriate, so said mini apparently said in a major stop ‘well then I don’t want any Xmas presents!’ ...   :-\ ::-)

Lego Party at Scott's Christmas morning! :D

As long as you guys don't mind getting presents from my basement bike-parts box, you're welcome to come! Anybody else? (If a lot of people, might be forced to buy more Lego!)

Daughter's got a frock and some shoes.

Son will get (when I get round to it) some winter motorbiking gloves. (any recommendations?)

Who said stereotypes?  ;D

Young Blah is getting some waterproof trousers and a load of toys that used to be mine and that my mum saved.

He doesn't play with toys anyway, he's into drills and tape measures at the moment.
