Is that deliberately taking in Melbourne and The Red Beret?

I'm sorry about that ridiculous generalisation denigrating the area.

We could however continue along Chignal Road, turn left, right into Admirals Park, cycle route to the humpty backed bridge, over to Upper Bridge Road, then Lower Anchor Street

Work permitting, I am probably going to meander down on my little bike pretty much reversing OD's homeward route.  I may even try to have dinner there.

If I had know David Gandy was coming I would have brought his Arrow regalia but I do have his ACP certificate here if I can remember it.

I'm looking forward to finding out later what your excuse for not coming out turns out to be this time :)

Yes, I was wondering that myself.  At this particular moment in time everything looks okay, famous last words...  ;D

I might pop along seeing as it's so close. What would your likely ETA be?

Edit: I'm guessing about 20:45 - 21:00?
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

OD, assuming you make it along this evening, could you perform a quick third party assessment?

You see, Carlos is using his ride to the Orange Tree as a guide to determine whether he is sufficiently prepared for a little ride down in Sussex at the weekend. He's been having issues with his knees, so I thought it might be a task for your healing hands. Ultimately we need a prognosis on his knees and mental fortitude. What do you think?

I'll not make spa roundabout tonight.  I'll try to intercept at the pub with OD's much travelled socks  :o

I will probably aim for 8.30 to catch some dinner - if I can get off the 'phone.

Should be there for 21:00, might manage to meet somewhere en-route: Waltham, Chignal Smealy etc...

I’ve got another conference call this Wednesday evening, but should be fine for the following weeks. Looks like this Wednesday may be a bit iffy, although the forecast isn’t always right.

I shall be staying at home unless the MEMWNS fancies choosing a pubbe in Witham!

Witham is more accessible in the evening than Chelmsford, from Dunmow  :o. The 42A Chelmo-Airport buses stop early evening, but the 133 Colchester-Braintree-Stansted go to 10:30-ish, Witham trains a bit later of course...A more pleasant, and yet still gritted route too, if I chose to risk a ride.

This dry Arctic air is weird, not a trace of frost on cars, road or ground, which is still frozen solid.

I vote for Witham.
