Kings Head Tollesbury next week then and The Hoop, Stock the week after (unless anyone has a report on The Hoop not being a good venue??)

Last time I was in the Hoop was about 25 years ago. They had a summer beer festival, lots of good choices, and in those days it was a simple train ride back to Brentwood for me, albeit there must have been a taxi involved.

Not sure this is the right thread but what are the timingsfor Saturday night's PBP pub trip? Larraine is away, so I am just trying to work out where Toby might go! From my point of view, would be better to meet early and then I can bring him and get him home at a reasonable hour...

Not out this Wednesday as at a dinner in London.

I'm pretty sure it will descend in to 'like a Wednesday but on a Saturday' mixed with ACME Awards / Epiphany however I expect there will be a lack of BB...

I tried to check out The Hoop on Saturday night but it was heaving - didn't take a picture of the ale list but it has real ale and seems to have space for bikes.

This week is Tollesbury and might be a cold one!

Joergen

BB might be attending in a substituting for Huggy looking after me in France role.  As a by product of that primary role, he might even enjoy himself over there

You still struggle to shake off the label of being The Sensible One (*)- sad  ;D

Mate, on the basis I don't think you've been seen for absolutely ages I think a lot of stuff has lapsed  :'(

However, should you care to show your face on a Wednesday evening in the near future we can reinstate stuff

If you need us to choose a venue in the southern environs to make matters easier for you I'm certain it can be arranged  ;D

BTW, you may not be aware that in your absence I have become Appropriate.  My new status is not held in high regard by many, in fact it's fair to say there has been a good measure of incredulity  >:(  But, I have photo ID to prove I'm not telling porkies.

I therefore can be wicket keeper for The Sensible One should the need ever arise.

Should be at Spa Road for 1930, assuming a lack of (former) Colonial interference.

Nope - my job was done once we had exhausted the kitty...
