The Sydney Melbourne 1200 started on Sunday and the Audax Australia website has good info including links to twitter and photos:

Wow, that online rider/control tracking page is pretty impressive. Not sure if I'm using it right though: I see two riders have passed control 6, twelve have passed control 7, and twenty seven have passed control 8.

A very tough ride for a number of reasons.  I timed out at the 500 km mark, as did about half the field, in total.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...
