Starlings fledgelings
« on: 09 June, 2023, 08:52:44 pm »
I have been feeding Starlings regularly once a day for some time as they are on the red list. However, fledgelings are now lurking about in my garden pretty much all day so as to consume the contents of a pellet feeder intended for the use of others. Should I stop loading the pellet feeder? My concern is that they are developing a dependency.

In my experience, no. They'll be gone in a few weeks. You'll get to see their plumage transform from juvie to adult in the meantime.

I will have to deal with the poo on the Igloo's patio thobut  :hand:
