What roadsigns really mean
« on: 11 September, 2008, 03:27:02 am »
Little Cudzo was telling me a story in which the character - a grizzly bear IIRC - came to a busy road. At the side of this road was a roadsign "which means only cross this road with your Mummy or Daddy or with your older brother." Strange thing is he doesn't have an older brother...

But it seems like a very sensible roadsign to me - I hope to see it in the next edition of the Highway Code. In fact, I'll ask him to draw it this evening - probably it will include sharks and crocodiles.

In London there is a sign that says something like: Walking to school is good (beware some puddles have sharks). Why not walk?  ;D

Puddles have sharks, there is no such thing, but there is puddles that are so deep that if you step in one you come out in China. Well that is what my Gran told me, so it must be true.

There are definitely crocodiles in some puddles. Little Cudzo has identified them as Australian saltwater crocodiles.

I like the signs they have for schools in Croatia and Slovenia.

That's one cool sign. It looks as if the kids have blasted a hole in the school wall and are escaping through it!
