A brilliant drummer.
I saw his Airforce. Man, that was a great band.

An exceptional drummer but not a very nice man. He had some serious issues.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Beware of Mr Baker is worth a watch.

Interestingly enough, he wanted to be a TDF rider[he'd have gone down very well pharmaceutically!!] when he was a kid and was very serious young cyclist, but then got hit by a cab and found the drums instead.

Extraordinary bloke. In the heart of all the selfish craziness, he was some player.
This is nice.
And I've lost count how many times I've played this

So it would appear! I saw a documentary about him earlier this year and that came across as much as his brilliance as a drummer. He ended up assaulting the interviewer with his walking stick and leaving him with a cut across his nose(?).

Good question.  Apparently he was voted "Person Least Likely To Survive The 60s" and was up against some serious competition.  Keith is still with us, though, so there's hope for all of us.

Didn't Keef once say that he put his longevity down to being careful about where/who he got his drugs from?  :demon:

Sound very, well, Keithy  ;D  Plus he's a gentleman: "Bad manners is turning blue in someone else's bathroom".

Whilst he was undoubtedly a brilliant drummer, I can't help but think he was at least partly responsible for the obligatory drum solos that almost every rock band worked into their set from the late 60's to the early 70's.  Most were utter shite.

Strangely I think that's probably true. Keith seems like a genuinely nice bloke under it all.

The afternoon that DJ Random spat out "Toad", "The Mule" and "Moby Dick" in quick succession will not be forgotten without the help of mind-altering chemicals.

According to the DJ on Planet Rock yesterday afternoon, Led Zep's "Four Sticks" can be blamed on John Bonham seeing Ginger in action and thinking "I'll show him..."
