Parking for Ball Buster/bash/Blast
« on: 29 March, 2014, 09:58:53 am »
Im doing the Bristol blast from Long Ashton tommorow. The org has requested people park away from the village if possible to avoid upsetting residents.

Anyone recommend somewhere within perhaps 20 minutes cycling from Long Ashton?

Ashton Court is a possibility, but shuts at 8:15   (not a problem for a 100, but...). Busy as well.

Street parking in Southville, or try Cumberland Road - and finish with a pint outside the Cottage.  :)

(from Cumberland Rd, get onto the 'chocolate path' by river heading west. Turn L onto old railway bridge, cycle path to Clanage Rd, then Kennel Lodge Rd,  through Ashton Court.)

Thanks Ian . Cumberland road sounds good as does a pint on the steps outside the Cottage.

Update. Another rider has offered me to park on his driveway for the day, cant do better than that
